WNTR Sauna
In winter, you can enjoy the warmth of Rovaniemi's best sauna and refresh yourself in the cold waters of the Kemijoki River! The legendary Summer Restaurant & Sauna has expanded its operations in winter to become WNTR Sauna, offering a cozy lounge for both local residents and visitors traveling to the north.
The sauna is located next to the Ounasvaara ski resort by the banks of the Kemijoki River, just a five-minute drive from Rovaniemi city center. The restaurant and sauna can be found in the grounds of Lapland Hotels Ounasvaara Chalets by the river.
WNTR Sauna's winter season 2026 has ended
The ice has drifted away from the Kemijoki River and the ice swimming pier has been lifted ashore. The sauna will rest for a moment before the summer season begins.
The sauna heats up again alongside Kesäraflan from May 30, 2026.

The next WNTR Sauna winter season 2026-2027 will begin in September.
Campfire and reindeer goulash soup
Food and drinks are available for purchase to enjoy in the sauna's lounge area or at the campfire. Warm reindeer goulash soup is offered, along with reindeer sausage or glögi-spiced marshmallows that can be roasted at the campfire. The restaurant container, campfire area, and sauna have a liquor license, so bringing your own food is not allowed on the premises.
