Kesärafla Sauna
Summer restaurant Kesärafla Sauna is located by the Kemijoki River within the grounds of Lapland Hotels Ounasvaara Chalets, just a 5-minute drive from Rovaniemi city center. You can also access the Kesärafla Sauna by water from the city center. In the terrace restaurant, you can enjoy refreshing drinks while admiring the stunning views of the Kemijoki River and savoring food cooked on a real charcoal grill. During your meal, you can warm up in the wood-heated sauna and take a dip in the river to cool off. The area also offers the opportunity to play beach volleyball and rent SUP boards.

The sauna heats up during the restaurant's opening hours.
Sauna fee 5 €. Towels and swimsuits for rent 6€ /item.
The sauna is unisex. Swimsuits must be worn in the steam room.

Treat yourself at Kesärafla Sauna!
This summer, burgers and brisket are sizzling on Kesärafla’s charcoal grill. For a lighter bite, salads are available, and milkshakes are perfect for satisfying your sweet tooth.
Ice cream cones are also available whenever the beverage container is open.
Our seasonal burgers, the reindeer burger and the brisket burger, are still available in August while stocks last.

Riverside Sauna
The heart of Kesärafla Sauna is a stunning large wood-heated sauna located on the shore of the Kemijoki River. The sauna offers relaxing steam from a traditional wood-burning stove for up to 35 guests.
Separate changing rooms and showers are available for women and men. The sauna building also includes a unisex toilet and lockable storage lockers for valuables.
The wood-heated unisex sauna is open to all guests during Kesärafla Sauna opening hours. Swimwear is required in the sauna, and if you forgot yours at home, you can rent one on site. Towels are also available for rent.
Lost and found items are stored only for a few days. Found items are collected in the lost and found box located outside the sauna, where you can check if your belongings have been found.

Autumn Sauna Pass
The Autumn Sauna Pass is already available to purchase at Kesärafla, allowing you to enjoy the sauna even after the summer season.
The Autumn Sauna Pass costs €75, and only a limited number are available.

Summer Activities
Summer at Kesärafla Sauna is about more than just relaxing on the terrace and enjoying the sauna.
Throw a round of darts, gather your group for a game of beach volleyball, or enjoy a match of mölkky on a summer day. Outdoor games are available free of charge for our guests.
You can also join our summer bingo nights or quizzes. Schedules will be announced on our social media channels throughout the summer.
