Laawu rooftop terrace – A rooftop terrace in the heart of Tampere

Located on the 12th floor of Lapland Hotels Arena, Laawu offers experiences for hotel guests, visitors to events at Tampere’s Nokia Arena, and locals alike.

The venue features a nearly 300-seat terrace with bars and a kitchen, as well as three separate saunas. Come and enjoy refreshing drinks and northern flavors above the rooftops of Tampere!

You can also access the hotel and Laawu Rooftop Terrace through the main entrances of Nokia Arena. Just follow the signs past Maltti Taproom and head left toward the elevators. Laawu is located on the 12th floor. Welcome!

Saunas for hotel guests and day visitors

The saunas Naava and Kaarna located on the rooftop terrace of the hotel's 12th floor are available free of charge for hotel guests. There are separate saunas for women and men.

Sauna opening hours:

  • Mon-Sun 16–22

  • Morning saunas Sat-Sun 8–11

The saunas also welcome day visitors to enjoy the steam with views over Tampere.

  • Sauna fee 20€/person includes a choice of canned beverage (beer, gin long drink, soft drink, or sparkling water), towels, and washing supplies. Children 4–12 years old are half price including a soft drink or sparkling water, and under 4 years old free of charge.

  • Saunas open for day visitors Mon-Sat.

The sauna fee can be paid at the hotel reception on the 4th floor. The saunas are primarily for hotel guests, so please note that space may not always be available for day visitors.

Note: The sauna facilities are licensed areas, so personal drinks are not allowed. Sauna drinks can be purchased at the rooftop terrace Laawu counter (in summer) or at the hotel reception.

Private session

Private sessions are also available for the Naava and Kaarna saunas from Monday to Sunday, either from 12–13.30 or 14–15.30. The cost for a private sauna session in Naava or Kaarna is €145, including towels. The saunas are suitable for 8-10 people.
