Experience natural snow in Pallas Ski resort
As the old wisdom has it, "Pallas takes your heart but you can always come back". Pallas is the most genuine and traditional fell for downhill skiing and a paradise for travellers who truly want to enjoy their holiday. Our aim is to maintain the natural snow on our slopes rather than producing artificial snow. It feels different to ski on natural snow because it doesn't freeze or chrystallise on the skis like artificial snow. The soil of the slopes is not mechanically treated which makes skiing as natural as possible with all the mounds and shapes in the slope. You can't find an easier and more diversified place for off-piste skiing in Finland! You will only understand the magical power of the national landscape on the spot. Pallas Ski resort features relaxed get-togehers and laid-back outdoor sports in fresh fell air.

Cross-country skiing tracks in Pallas
The cross-country track network in Muonio was established and is maintained in cooperation by local tourism enterprises and the local authorities. They take care of the tracks using appropriate equipment.
The extent of the mechanically maintained track network is some 200 km. Some of the tracks enter the National Park area. Popular cross-country skiing destinations include Nammalkuru, Vuontispirtti, Raattama, Jeris, Olos and Torassieppi. The highlight of spring is to cover the route between Hetta and Pallas. Near the hotel you will also find tracks of 3km, 5km and 10km which are maintained by the hotel staff. The tracks connect the municipalities in Fell Lapland, giving a cross-country skier access to a thousand kilometres of tracks.
