How to buy a Lapland Hotels gift card

• The gift card is prepaid online, where you will find the most common payment methods: card payment, mobile payment, online bank payment, as well as Google Pay and Apple Pay. The payment service is provided by Paytrail Oyj.

• Gift card purchases have a 14-day exchange and return right.

• The gift card is delivered by email in PDF format. Delivery is free.

• The gift card can also be purchased at the hotel reception.

• The gift card is valid for 12 months from the purchase date OR the campaign period mentioned on the gift card. You will find the exact date on your gift card.

• The services mentioned on the gift card are available only during its validity period.

• The gift card must be used by its last validity date. If you make the reservation on the last validity date, contact the hotel directly.

• The validity period of the gift card cannot be extended, and an expired gift card cannot be used.

• A lost gift card will not be replaced.

• Gift cards that can be used in the online store are marked as such. If your card was purchased before 4.5.2026, you can try its functionality online, even if the card does not mention it.

• Enter the gift card number (code on Haikko gift cards) into the travel search field.

• If the search yields no results, make a reservation by directly contacting the hotel

Booking and Rate Types

• Accommodation and Staycation Gift Cards: If your gift card is for a specific accommodation or a Staycation package, you can choose only the product included in the gift card in the online store (flexible cancellation policy). In such cases, you only make a reservation, and payment is not charged immediately.

• Value Gift Cards (monetary value): You can choose either the daily rate (flexible cancellation) or a cheaper non-refundable booking rate.

  • Note: If you choose the advance booking rate, payment is immediately deducted from the gift card and is not refunded in case of cancellation.

  • Haikko´s value gift cards cannot be used to pay in the online store or to select the advance booking rate, only to make a reservation at the daily rate.

Paying with a Value Gift Card

• Paying the difference: If the reservation cost exceeds the value of the gift card, you can pay the remaining balance with common payment methods (card, mobile payment, online banking).

• Remaining value: If there is a balance left on the gift card, it remains available for the duration of the card's validity period.

• You can check if a reservation is paid for in the online store's ”My bookings” section.

Remember When Arriving at the Hotel

• Present Gift Card: Show the gift card at reception on your phone or as a printout before using the service.

• Additional Charges: Any additional services and other charges are settled on-site at the hotel.

• Restrictions: The gift card cannot be converted into cash, exchanged for other services, or used to purchase a new gift card.

The gift card is delivered by email to the email address provided during the order, once the payment has been recorded in the system. The gift card is attached as a .pdf in the email.

This depends on the type of gift card. You can make or pay for a reservation online when it is mentioned on the gift card. You can try the functionality of gift cards purchased before 4.5.2026 online by entering the gift card number (or the code in Haikko gift cards) in the field provided in the travel search.

If the search with the gift card yields no results, contact the hotel directly.

On the last day of the gift card's validity, reservations can no longer be made online but directly with the hotel.

This depends on the gift card and the selected price condition. If it is a value gift card with a certain amount, the reservation can be made at the daily price with flexible cancellation terms, or at the advance booking price (cheaper), where the gift card is charged immediately and the payment will not be refunded in case of cancellation.

If it is an accommodation or Staycation gift card for a specific hotel, the reservation is made with flexible cancellation terms and the gift card is charged only at the hotel. However, remember to enter the gift card number online at the time of booking to be able to select the correct price condition.

A value gift card from Lapland Hotels, which can be used for accommodation of choice at Lapland Hotels locations, is also valid at Kartano & Kylpylähotelli Haikko.

Only Haikko's own hotel-specific accommodation and Staycation gift cards are valid in Haikko.

Haikko's gift cards are not valid in other Lapland Hotels.

A gift card purchase does not entitle you to Lapland Hotels Club points or member benefits. However, Lapland Hotels Club mobile membership benefits are available in hotels also with gift card reservations.
