Welcome to Il Puro

The restaurant offerings at Lapland Hotels Oulu became more diverse at the beginning of 2026 when a warm and relaxed restaurant called Il Puro was opened in connection with the hotel's expansion. At Il Puro, the flavors of the north and Italy meet in a delicious way, united by respect for ingredients and high-quality simplicity.

Il Puro's classic ragú gains a northern twist with reindeer, reindeer salami is sprinkled on the pizza topping, and domestic char flavors the risotto. The house specialty is pasta tossed in a large parmesan wheel, finished with dried reindeer meat. Il Puro invites you to enjoy good food, drink, and experiences together. Welcome!

Encounters in the Northern Atmosphere

With the renovation of Lapland Hotels Oulu, Oulu, the hub of the north, has gained a new meeting place as a cozy bar opened in connection with the hotel in November. Drop by for an after-work visit to enjoy the homely northern atmosphere and the skillfully crafted drinks by our bartenders or sip an aperitif in peace while waiting for dinner.

With the expansion, Lapland Hotels Oulu completed 96 new high-quality rooms, whose interior is inspired by the nature and aesthetics of the north. The total number of rooms increased to 256 with the expansion. Up to half of the new rooms are equipped with their own sauna, offering our guests a unique opportunity to relax in the sauna steam of their own room. An award-winning northern flavors breakfast is always included in the price of accommodation.

Organize events for up to 1000 people

The expansion of Lapland Hotels Oulu offers even more versatile facilities for organizing meetings, events, and parties right in the center of Oulu. The new meeting rooms Aihki, Bihkka, and Johka can accommodate up to 300 people in one hall. The Renna lounge at Il Puro restaurant provides an atmospheric setting for private dining for 30–40 people, and the glass-roofed Atrium courtyard flexibly transforms into a stage for various events.

The extension completes the historic Ynninkulma, Luosto Cabinet, and sauna area – combined, these spaces serve events for up to 1000 people.
