A MAGICAL WORLD OF ICE AND SNOW
Nearly 200 km above the Arctic Circle lies a unique and magical world made from ice and snow. Each year, around 20 million kilos of snow and 350 000 kilos of crystal clear natural ice are used to build the spectacular Lapland Hotels SnowVillage which changes in shape, size and design to amaze visitors year after year. The SnowVillage includes, for instance, ice sculptures, decorated snow suites, an ice restaurant and an ice bar, as well as an ice chapel.
Spend a cozy yet thrilling night in the snow hotel, enjoy a delicious dinner in the spectacular ice restaurant or simply visit to marvel the vast corridors packed with snow suites and ice sculptures. For wedding couples, the SnowVillage offers remarkable settings for an unforgettable day.
Lapland Hotels SnowVillage is located in the Western part of Finnish Lapland, in close proximity of Ylläs and Levi ski-resorts and easily reachable from the airport of Kittilä. There are regular tours by car or snowmobile from the resorts of Levi and Ylläs to the SnowVillage.
This year (2019–2020), SnowVillage’s theme is Arctic Illusions. The illusions lean on familiar myths which the artists have turned into ice and snow sculptures. SnowVillage has 16 rooms, Snow suites for 2–4 persons and 8 cabins for 2–6 persons.
