SnowVillage is rebuilt every winter
Lapland Hotels SnowVillage is rebuilt from scratch every year in Lainio, Kittilä, and it delights visitors with a changing theme and stunning ice art.
SnowVillage is a unique approximately two-hectare icy complex, built with over 20 million kilograms of snow and about 300,000 kilograms of crystal-clear natural ice every year. The annually changing theme is announced in autumn.
Information for the next winter season will be published in autumn 2026.
Location and arrival
DirectionsLapland Hotels SnowVillage is located near Ylläs, in Lainio of Kittilä, at the address Lainiotie 566. There is plenty of parking space in the yard and you can arrive by private or rental car, taxi, snowmobile, or even skiing from Levi or Ylläs. The distance from Ylläsjärvi by the shortest skiing route is about 15 km and from Levi about 50 km.
A bus connection from the tourist centers of Levi and Ylläs operates daily during SnowVillage's opening hours.
Tickets can be purchased in advance from Matkahuolto's website or directly from the bus driver (card payments only). Traffic is operated by Liikenne O. Niemelä.
