Executive summary

The popularity of international and domestic tourism
grew in spite of inflation

Our result for the financial year 2022–2023 was fairly good, and our turnover developed favourably both in Lapland and in our urban destinations. Our customer satisfaction improved further, which is a credit to our personnel.

Domestic tourism remained high and we achieved record-high turnover for our hotels and restaurants during the financial year. The availability of personnel again presented challenges.

Our 40th year of operations was an excellent one: customer volumes grew tremendously and we achieved record-high turnover. We also developed our sustainability programme.

SKI RESORTS

People enjoy the slopes, and international tourists in particular eagerly headed to Lapland. The number of skiers at our ski resorts continued to be clearly higher than before COVID-19.

SUSTAINABILITY

We were awarded as many as 24 STF sustainable tourism environmental labels during the financial year. We developed our animal welfare programme further and introduced plastic recycling at all of our locations.
