Sky Kitchen & View in Rovaniemi was chosen as one of the 50 best restaurants in Finland

Lapland Hotels’ restaurant Sky Kitchen & View in Rovaniemi was selected by industry professionals as Finland’s 43rd best restaurant in 2024. Sky Kitchen & View’s placement is a testament to the appreciation of high-quality northern ingredients, and it enables the development of Lapland’s culinary culture. The restaurant was the only one in Lapland to make the list.

Sky Kitchen & View is a scenic restaurant with long traditions located at the top of Ounasvaara. The restaurant combines the unique flavours of the North and the world’s finest northern ingredients.

Restaurant Sky Kitchen & View is located in connection with the Lapland Hotels Sky Ounasvaara hotel. The restaurant has been voted among the best restaurants in Finland many times.

“Sky Kitchen & View is an institution in Lapland, and we are considered to be a prestigious school from which many professionals have started their journey into the culinary world, including Lapland and other parts of Finland. People also come to us from other Lapland Hotels restaurants to learn more about northern ingredients and flavours. Few restaurants are able to prepare food from similar ingredients that are also procured locally, including red king crab, willow grouse and reindeer. It’s a great honour that we are able to develop and share northern culinary culture with promising future chefs and give them the tools to advance in their own careers,” Mäntykangas says.

Finland’s 50 Best Restaurants 2024 is based on a nationwide vote by industry professionals. This year, about 1,500 professionals from the hotel, restaurant and catering sector, the beverage and food business, and the field of food and restaurant journalism were invited. The vote for Finland’s 50 Best Restaurants was held for the 16th time.

According to industry professionals, restaurant Sky Kitchen & View is the number one restaurant in Lapland with a great atmosphere and the best view in Finland. The restaurant is known for its modern Lappish food prepared by using the finest ingredients.
