EVENTS IN OLOS

Every spring towards the end of March or in early April, a popular three-day skiing event called Lapponia takes place in Muonio. The event consists of three legs: Keimiö circuit 60 km (Olos - Keimiöjärvi - Olos), Himmelriikki tracks 50 km (Vuontisjärvi - Pallas - Olos) and Karra leg 80 km (Hetta - Pallas - Olos). The shorter version of the Karra leg is 40 km in length (Kerässieppi - Pallas - Olos). Lapponia is a freestyle competition that is part of the Euroloppet race.
