A VILLAGE OF LOG CABINS
LuostoLuosto is a fell rising 514 metres in the municipality of Sodankylä, 30 kilometres southeast of the village of Sodankylä. It is part of Pyhä-Luosto National Park. There are two ski resorts in the Luosto area: Luosto and Perheluosto. The National Parks here are natural treasure chests. One of the best parks is Pyhä-Luosto, which includes one of the most beautiful areas of Lapland. Pyhä-Luosto National Park is particularly well-known for its 35-kilometre chain of fells. Lampivaara, in the middle of the park, is an amethyst mine, the only gemstone mine in the world that welcomes visitors.
