The centre also houses changing exhibitions.
Find gold in Tankavaara Gold Village. The northern reaches of Sodankylä are an old gold panning area. Gold can still be found today. Tankavaara Gold Village presents this tradition not only in Lapland but also on a global scale. In Tankavaara you can try your hand at panning for real gold. Every summer, one lucky visitor finds a big nugget, but nobody goes home empty-handed. The Gold Museum focuses on the history of the industry in Finland, and the Golden World informs the visitors about gold panning worldwide.

Terävä Nattanen is 544 metres and Pyhä Nattanen is 508 metres high. Access to the park in all seasons is by following the sign-posted trails only.
