Welcome to Karhunpesä! (the Bear's Den)
Karhunpesä (the Bear's Den) is situated 30 kilometres from Rovaniemi, on the banks of a lake and surrounded by ancient forest. During the Cold War this was a secret meeting place for statesmen. Beside the magnificent fireplace such well-known names as Lyndon B. Johnson, Golda Meir and Reza Pahlevi have spent the evening as guests of President Urho Kekkonen.
Even today the Karhunpesä still offers world-class service in a VIP setting throughout the year.
